Electricity pricing software

Electricity pricing software for UK energy sales

Electricity pricing software built around how UK electricity is actually priced: 14 distribution regions, meter-specific rate structures and constant supplier repricing. ChargeSave resolves the property's region and meter from a postcode and prices it correctly, every time.

  • All 14 UK electricity distribution regions maintained
  • Region resolved from the property, not guessed from the postcode area
  • MPAN lookup so the meter configuration is known before pricing
  • Single-rate and Economy 7 day/night rate structures
  • Standing charge and unit rates stored per product and region
  • Gas priced alongside electricity for dual-fuel quotes

Regional pricing, done properly

UK electricity prices differ by distribution region, and the same product can carry a materially different standing charge and unit rate depending on where the meter sits. ChargeSave resolves the distribution region from the property's supply record, so pricing reflects the actual meter rather than a postcode approximation.

Rates are maintained per product and per region, so a price shown to a customer in the South West is not a national average dressed up as a quote.

  • Distribution region derived from the supply record
  • MPAN and, for dual fuel, MPRN resolved from the address
  • Rates held per product, per region and per meter configuration
  • Repricing tracked so historic quotes stay explainable

Meter types that break naive pricing engines

Economy 7 and other multi-rate meters need day and night consumption priced separately, and a single blended rate will misstate the annual cost in both directions. ChargeSave handles multi-rate configurations explicitly, and where consumption split is unknown it applies a documented assumption rather than hiding one.

Annual cost modelling that stands up

Pricing is only half the job — the number a customer compares is the estimated annual cost. That is modelled from kWh where available, and from monthly spend or household size where it is not, with the assumptions stored against the quote so any figure can be reconstructed.

Where the pricing engine sits

Use it inside the ChargeSave journey under your own brand, or call it from your own CRM through the partner API. Either way the pricing, the regional data and the stored rate history are maintained for you rather than by your engineering team.
