Market briefings
How the ChargeSave engine prices the UK market — background for partner teams evaluating the platform and briefing their agents.
How the Ofgem price cap is applied in the engine
The cap limits unit rates and standing charges, not the total bill, and moves quarterly. Our pricing engine re-baselines capped tariffs each cap period so partner results stay accurate without manual work.
Standing charges in the ranking
Daily standing charges are priced per fuel alongside unit rates, so low-usage properties rank differently to high-usage ones. Ranking is always by estimated annual cost, never by commission.
Fixed vs variable in partner results
Fixed deals are compared against the customer's live variable position across a full 12 months, including exit fees, so agents can explain the trade-off on the call or doorstep.
Economy 7 and time-of-use handling
Where meter data shows a two-rate or time-of-use setup, the engine compares day and night rates separately instead of collapsing them into a single average.
Usage inputs your agents can capture
Real kWh from an annual statement, monthly spend, or a household-size estimate — each is supported, and the results page labels which input was used for the estimate.
What the switch step covers
The journey collects the full UK switch pack — supply identifiers, contact details, Direct Debit mandate and consents — so a partner can pass audit on every application.
